2006 Oldsmobile/Pontiac Show and Shine

Again this year the Rocky Mountain Oldsmobile Club worked with the Colorado Pontiac & Oakland Club for a show and shine. To add to the show we invited members from the Buick and Cadillac Clubs to come out and show as well. It was another great spring day here in Denver as it got to a a nice 75 degrees. We had 50 cars showing this year from the 1930's up to a couple of 2000 or newer cars.

The show was held at the Sheplers Western Wear store in Greenwood Village again with the Manager on Duty Mick hosting us.  He made his choice for the Managers Choice trophy winner for his favorite car.

Joe and Lori Peifer, Alan and Betty Lowe and Gary and Helen Smith were there for set up and running of the show again. Alan once again crafted the special Al Russell memorial award that was handed out. This a great looking trophy I must say. Gary Smith got some great donations for the goodie bags and set up a local TV station to come out.  Gary Canady from the Pontiac Club took car of food vending with his crew. That was fantastic and we thank them for that. Members of both clubs took part in the counting of the ballots and boy that was so smooth this year.

Lori & Betty did a ton of work once again for this show. Lori found the great award plaques for one. Betty took care of the goodie bags. That was just the start. Helen of course was there working the tent all day and counting ballots. These three deserve a huge round of applause for taking care of registration and MORE.

Also thanks again to Keith Johnson for handling the parking duties. So nice to not have to worry about that.  Bob Brown  and I took the pictures you see below and  of course Bob will publish some in the next newsletter.  Ok on with the SHOW.
