Happy 45th Anniversary RMOC. This year 2025, our club is celebrating 45 years and going strong.

45 years ago, Mike Watson, Bernie Steinberg and Dick Belgard placed an ad in the Denver Post, inviting anyone interested in 1950 Oldsmobiles to meet at Cranmer Park in Denver to socialize at a picnic. Sixteen Oldsmobiles were at the first get together. They ranged in years from 1951 to 1960.

RMOC was founded and our organizational committee was formed and on September 13, 1980.Tthe Rocky Mountain Oldsmobile Chapter emerged. Bernie Steinberg was acting chairman and he volunteered to compile the bylaws for the Club. This was do that Bernie has legal background as an attorney.

I would like to do a shout out to Bernie, Mike and Dick. After 45 years these men are still in our club, not as active as they use to be, but still members, all honorary I might say.

We are so fortunate to have members still in the club that joined right around when the club had started up, Rick Lane, Eric Pope, John and Karen Hager and Ralph & Sharon Dickman. To this day all are active members, WOW!

I would like to mention our member that added so much in the beginning years, but now watch over our club from heaven. Al & Alice Russell, Wilbur & Irma Harr, Gary Lee.

We are at 61 family memberships, Alan and I we have been in the club for over 37 years and yes, this is our extended family. As I am setting here writing this there are so many of our members that have joined the club long before us, and now selling their cars for they now longer can get out and about. I think this would be a good and interesting article for the clubs 50th Anniversary.

Happy Anniversary, Rocky Mountain Oldsmobile Club Members, without ALL of you, and most important our founders and club officers we would not have existed the past 45 years.

Thank you,

Betty Lowe
